#StickWithJose: Why Chelsea fans want Mourinho to stay

Find me one manager in the world that has such a relationship with his fans as Jose Mourinho. Name one. There isn't one.

That reception on Tuesday night was absolutely unreal. It was good on TV yes, but for those that were at the game they will tell you, that was very very very special indeed. A man who has given so much to Chelsea getting the ovation that he thoroughly deserves, with every person in the stadium singing 'Stand up for the Special One' and applauding.

Now I do not deny, I have strongly disagreed with many decisions that Mourinho has made since his return to the club, but it surely cannot be denied that he has done more good for Chelsea than he has done bad.

I do not want Jose to get sacked at all. How will that change anything? In my opinion, delusional or not, he remains the best manager in the world. On top of that, he absolutely loves Chelsea Football Club. He has made it clear time after time that his heart lies with Chelsea. Even when he left, I think he knew he was going to be back one day.

When he left the first time round, I remember waking up the morning two days after a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Rosenborg. I switched on Sky Sports News to see that they were running a video going through Mourinho's career so far. "That's odd," I thought to myself. "Why are they doing that I wonder?" I remember they then were asking Chelsea fans to e-mail in their favourite Jose Mourinho memories. Still at that point, the possibility that he had left had not even crossed my mind. Again I thought to myself "that's strange? Maybe he said something after the match that I didn't pick up on?" Then came something I could not believe. One fan had e-mailed in saying something along the lines of "I can't believe we have sacked Jose Mourinho".

I just could not believe it. I almost didn't even get upset - I could not believe it was true. Why had we sacked the best manager in the world? There were official reports saying it was 'mutual consent', but after a few days, I was able to work out that it was rubbish. Why would Mourinho want to leave his beloved Chelsea? And was it just so much that both the board and the manager came to an agreement to let him go? I wasn't going to buy that. He had been sacked.

The decision was frankly bizarre. I don't think anybody saw it coming. I don't think it will go down too well if the same happens again... And even if it did, how is that going to change anything? Like I say, Mourinho is the best manager in the world. No word of a lie, I genuinely think that Jose Mourinho is the best man for the job in turning our season around. Yes, as I have mentioned before, I have disagreed with him, but please understand that does not mean I want him to be sacked!

Like I say Jose Mourinho loves the club with all his heart, After the Liverpool game I waited for THREE AND A HALF HOURS for him to leave the stadium. I am guessing that he was working to try and fix this. Have a go at him all you want, he has come a long long way in his career and I don't think it is going to stop anytime soon.
