Steve Bruce quit Hull over poor transfer market work

Steve Bruce quit Hull City over their poor transfer market work.

The former Manchester United captain, 55, left the club frustrated at the lack of transfer activity after he returned the side to the Premier League, says The Sun.

The relationship between Bruce and vice-chairman Ehab Allam contributed to the decision.

With the Tigers up for sale Bruce has been left angered at the lack of incoming players – Hull have just 13 senior players fit with the new season set to start in just three weeks.

Michael Dawson, Allan McGregor, Alex Bruce and Moses Odubajo have all been injured in recent weeks, while key loan players Isaac Hayden and Chuba Akpom did not return to the club.

Crisis talks between Bruce and Allam on Thursday are said to have gone badly.
