Raheem Sterling is set to sign a new five-year contract with Liverpool according to Sky Sports.

The 18-year old winger has reportedly agreed a deal to keep him at Anfield until 2017 which will be signed later this week.

Sterling has risen to prominence this season under Brendan Rodgers, starting 16 of the Reds' 17 Premier League matches, scoring one goal and providing three assists.

He also made his England senior debut in last month's friendly with Sweden after appearing twice for the England U21 side.
