Mile Sterjovski says his first-choice is to stay with Derby County. The Australia international attacker is being linked with a move to A-League, but hopes he can convince manager Nigel Clough to keep him on.
Sterjovski still cannot break into the starting XI at the Rams, but insists: "It's only rumours at the moment. People see that I'm not playing too much at Derby but nothing has come about yet.
"It looks like they are targeting players like me and there are quite a few in a similar position.
"Because I haven't been playing too much at Derby, obviously I am one of the top on the list.
"But like I said, I'm happy at Derby, my family is settled here and I'm really enjoying life here. The only thing missing is game time and, hopefully, that changes."
