Mile Sterjovski looks certain to leave Derby County, according to club boss Nigel Clough. The 29-year old Australian forward's contract still has a year to go but the fact he is not getting regular game time with the Rams could see him exit Pride Park.
"I think the biggest thing for Mile is that he has to play next season because of the World Cup next summer but we can't guarantee him first-team football here," Clough told the Derby Evening Telegraph.
Sterjovski has been linked with a return to Australia to play in the A-League with Clough confirming interest from clubs down under.
"There is genuine interest in him from clubs in Australia," he added.
