Stephen Ward happy playing anywhere for Wolves
Stephen Ward is happy to play anywhere for Wolves.
The defender starred up front occasionally last season for Wolves.
“Anywhere will still do for me!” he told the Express & Star. “It’s still early days in pre-season and it’s all about getting our fitness back and getting the routine back again.
“I’m not really thinking about positions. It’s the same for everyone in terms of getting fit and getting minutes under their belt.
“It was nice to play for my country at left-back – I don’t think I’d have got a game up front.
“I just love playing and wherever I am on the pitch I enjoy it and just try to do it with a smile on my face.
“It was nice to have the extra week off after the internationals but it’s good to be back training with the lads and working hard. Everyone is looking sharp.”
