The agent of Stephan Lichtsteiner says the Swiss defender is willing to drop into Serie B with Lazio if they're relegated this season.
Lichtsteiner has been linked with major European clubs this season, including Manchester United and Real Madrid.
"There's no reason for changing club," the player's brother and agent, Marco, told lalaziosiamonoi.it. "Stephan wants Lazio, we would decide to leave only for one step forward in his career.
"I hope that Lazio does not ever go in Serie B, but if it happens we will talk with the club.
"However, in A or B there won't be problems for Stephan to play for Lazio."
Edy Reja has taken control of Lazio following the departure of former manager Davide Ballardini, and although the player's agent says a January move could have been possible, he thinks the change in direction will give the Switzerland international more first-team opportunities.
"In January I said to Lotito (Claudio, Lazio chairman) that there were clubs interested in Stephan both in the Premier League and Serie A," he added. "The Lazio president confirmed to me that he focuses on Stephan and the same was told to me by the coach Ballardini.
"But then many defenders arrived and Ballardini has tried other players in the position of my brother. Now with Reja we hope that things will change. This year he had to play with continuity to get ready for the World Cup."
