Stelios Giannakopoulos - like Ivan Campo - has proved Bolton Wanderers manager Sammy Lee wrong after hitting the winner in last night's Carling Cup victory over Fulham.

Lee had been willing to sell Stelios to Sheffield United during the transfer window but the player decided against a move to Bramall Lane.

He then had a hernia operation and was included in the party which travelled down to London to face Lawrie Sanchez's men.

The Trotters boss said: "It's unfortunate that he hasn't had a game to test himself."
