Bolton Wanderers defender Gretar Steinsson says manager Gary Megson is putting together an exciting squad.

"We have a young squad and the manager took a chance on a couple of signings - if you look at Gary Cahill, Matt Taylor, myself and even Mark Davies, who is one for the future - and he succeeded with that," said the 27-year-old.

"We are younger and have a hunger to get results and do well for Bolton.

"We have got a good chemistry in the club and with a couple of good signings we can push further."
