Dejan Stefanovic admits new Fulham boss Roy Hodgson needs to buy his way out of trouble.

The Cottagers' defender was part of Harry Redknapp's Portsmouth team that pulled off a Premier League Great Escape in 2006.

And now the Londoners are a strong bet for relegation.

Stefanovic, 33, said: "Two seasons ago, Harry bought six or seven players in January and we stayed up.

"It will be tough. We need a first win and I don't know when it will come.

"The gaffer has signed three or four players - but maybe we need more!"
