The young defender knows he has a battle ahead to break into the first choice 11.
He said: "It will be hard but I came here to improve and I'm going well and improving from game to game, from training to training.
"You are always playing against fantastic players in training, Dzeko, Aguero, Nasri and more, and that's good for me in helping me to improve.
"I think I can learn a lot from the players at Manchester City. It is a pleasure for me and I will continue to work and prove to the manager that I can play in the starting 11.
"The Carling Cup is a great chance because some players don't get much of a chance in the Premier League and Champion League.
"That is their chance to prove to the manager that they deserve to play in those games."
