Stefan De Vrij passes Liverpool audition in front of Rodgers

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was impressed by Feyenoord defender Stefan De Vrij's performance against PSV Eindhoven on the weekend.

Rodgers took in the game to run the rule over De Vrij and De Telegraaf says he left on 82 minutes satisfied with what he has seen.

Feyenoord sources say they expect Liverpool to bid for De Vrij and also to make enquiries for defensive teammate Bruno Martins-Indi.

A twin deal worth in the region of £20 million has been mooted for the defensive duo.
