Steel urges NYRB towards Supporters' Shield

Jonny Steele is imploring New York Red Bulls to push on and challenge for the 2013 MLS Supporters' Shield.

The Red Bulls sit third in overall standings following the weekend's 4-1 win at Houston Dynamo and midfielder Steele, who netted his sides third goal, is keen to crack on and haul in first-placed Real Salt Lake who sit three points ahead.

"It's probably one of the better 90-minute performances on the road we've put in," Steele said.

"People doubted us on the road, but we had to build on last week, build on this week and we've got six games left.

"So we've got to keep going and push for the Supporters' Shield."
