Bristol City have completed the signing of Ipswich striker Jon Stead for an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old has signed a three-year contract having agreed personal terms and passed a medical at Ashton Gate on Monday morning.
Stead could actually make his debut against Ipswich when City travel to Portman Road in the Championship on Saturday.
Ipswich boss Roy Keane allowed Stead to move as he completed the signing of Wigan striker Jason Scotland for an undisclosed fee.
The 31-year-old has signed a one-year-deal and could make his debut against Crewe on Tuesday.
Scotland said: "I am delighted to have joined Ipswich and look forward to trying to help the club get into the Premier League."
