Stankovic: Inter Milan season no failure

Dejan Stankovic insists Inter Milan's season will have been successful if they retain the Scudetto.

"These are two decisive weeks, which may close or reopen the season,” Stankovic told Sky Sport Italia. “We're at home against Palermo and Juventus will have a very tough match in Genoa before we face one another.

“I remember the 1998-99 season when Lazio were seven points ahead but they lost the title on the last day.

“Last year we were 11 points in the lead but we only won the title in the last 45 minutes of the campaign.

“Mourinho has told us that we must keep fighting until the end and the important thing is to get to the game in Turin with the same advantage we have now.”
