Belgian club Standard Liege have reached the final eight of the Europa League after defeating Greek outfit Panathinaikos 1-0 and 4-1 on aggregate.

Liege did the damage with a 3-1 away win in the first leg, giving the Greeks everything to do in the return event at the Maurice Dufrasne Stadium.

Deiudonne Mbokani scored the only goal of the game in the 45th minute to give Liege enough of a buffer and create a comfortable path for his club to move through to the quarter-finals.
