Jaap Stam is eyeing a return to Manchester United.

Stam is currently working in his native Holland at FC Zwolle as assistant boss and will move to Ajax next season as No.2 to his former international team-mate Frank de Boer.

He said: "I am just at a small club and I don't know what will happen. I want to work my way to the top and it is one of my dreams to work in England.

"If it is at United that would be fantastic but that would be very hard."
