Staff issues halting Pardew's move from Newcastle to Crystal Palace

Alan Pardew's move to Crystal Palace is being put on hold due to complications involving backroom staff.

The 53-year old is set to move from Newcastle United to Selhurst Park after the two clubs agreed a compensation fee but the current Magpies boss is finding it difficult to bring two of his men with him to south London.

Sky Sports suggests that performance analyst Ben Stevens and goalkeeping coach Andy Woodman are pondering whether or not to join Pardew in Croydon, particularly in Woodman's case as his son Freddie is the north east club's fourth-choice keeper.

However, it has also been reported that the issues do not ultimately have Pardew's move in jeopardy but are simply delaying the completion of the managerial shift which is expected to cost Palace around £2million in compensation.
