St Johnstone's May was never interested in Peterborough move

Stevie May has made it clear that had no intention of leaving St Johnstone for Peterborough United in the summer.

The 20-year old striker, who has scored three goals already this season, was a target for the Posh in the recent transfer window but admits he never really thought about exiting the Perth club who handed him his debut as a 16-year old.

"I have been at St Johnstone since I was 11, so why move away at this point when I am playing and scoring goals?" May told Sky Sports News.

"It [the question of leaving] never came round that I had to make that decision, but that [staying] is the one I would have made."
