St Johnstone and Ross County have come to an agreement over the contract of Richard Brittain.
The 29-year old midfielder signed a pre-contract with the Saints in January but then decided he wanted to stay with the Staggies, even signing a new deal to stay put at Victoria Park.
Following a tug-of-war between the clubs, both St Johnstone and Ross County have mutually agreed to cancel the move to McDiarmid Park as per Brittain's wishes.
"Following a meeting between our chairman Steve Brown and his opposite number at Ross County, St Johnstone FC wishes to announce that an agreement has been reached, on terms that are acceptable to St Johnstone, for the cancellation of the Scottish Premier League contract between St Johnstone FC and the player Richard Brittain," read a Saints statement.
