St Johnstone boss McInnes full of admiration for Butcher

St Johnstone manager Derek McInnes spoke highly of Inverness boss Terry Butcher following the clash between the two clubs at McDiarmid Park on Sunday.

It was McInnes' team who came out on top thanks to a goal five minutes from time from Collin Samuel but it was the losing manager who received the accolades from the victor.

Inverness' loss was their first on the road in the league for 14 months and McInness admitted he was envious of such a record.

"It's better late than never. I've got huge respect for what Inverness are doing there and it was a fantastic record they had on the road. We knew they would be a tough nut to crack," he said.

"I've full admiration for the job Terry has done there, they're a tough nut to crack, but I felt we deserved to win today and were the better side."
