The Scottish Football Association (SFA) has hit St Johnstone manager Steve Lomas with an eight-match ban for using foul and abusive language towards an official.
The former Manchester City midfielder and West Ham United captain abused referee Iain Brines during his side's 1-1 draw with Celtic earlier this month and has incurred a six-match touchline ban to add to the suspended two-game ban he received for a previous misdemeanour in September.
"The SFA have handed Steve Lomas an eight-match touchline suspension following his dismissal from the dugout in the match against Celtic on 11th November for foul and abusive language towards a match official," read an official statement.
"This ban consists of six games for the offence committed at Celtic Park plus the suspended two-game ban which was already hanging over him following the game against Ross County in Dingwall in September."
