Saint-Etienne insist star striker Bafe Gomis is not for sale.
Newcastle United are chasing the new France international, but Saint-Etienne co-president Roland Romeyer says: "He is not transferable.
"Even if OM (Olympique Marseille) arrived with three trucks full of notes he wouldn't leave.
"He is ready to stay a bit more with us before leaving to play in England."
