St Etienne fullback Mathieu Debuchy admits he's still bitter over being blocked from joining Manchester United.

Debuchy has revealed Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger blocked him from joining United in 2016.

He told RMC: "Wenger? Yes, I blame him a little. Of course, there were difficult moments.

"I had an opportunity at one point that he refused me. There were things said that I did not like and things that happened, but it's the past now. I had an opportunity with Manchester United, and it was not done because he did not want to strengthen a direct competitor.

"It's like that, it's football."
