A host of Premiership clubs are seeking talks with former Tottenham sports chief Damien Comolli.
Comolli now holds a similar job at St Etienne and French sources say he is fielding enquiries for star striker Bafetimbi Gomis.
Newcastle, Everton, Arsenal and Manchester City are all keen on Gomis, who could be cashed in next month to fund St Etienne's own transfer plans.
