Sseppuya released by North Queensland Fury

North Queensland Fury have released striker Eugene Sseppuya from his one-year contract.

The Townsville club said they do not see the 27-year old Ugandan in their plans for the future and have decided to let him go.

"We have decided that Eugene is a player we don't see in our future plans," head coach Franz Straka told the club's official website. "This early release is to enable him find a new club during the transfer window."

Sseppuya appeared 13 times for the Fury, scoring just once, and is now hoping to find a club he can join on loan for the remainder of the A-League season.
