Srnicek calls for unity at Newcastle - from club to city

Newcastle United hero Pavel Srnicek has questioned the club's current management.

Srnicek has warned Newcastle United they may never get to the dizzy heights of the Premier League's top six while the club operates in such a "fragmented" manner.

He told the Evening Chronicle: "When we were flying high under Kevin Keegan the whole city was together - we were all reading from the same page.

"It was very different, but they can get back there if they get everything back together.

"What is missing at the moment for me is obvious. Back then the whole place was together.

"We were all in it as one. The fans, the club, the city, the media and the players. Now it seems like everybody is separated and in different groups.

"It is all too fragmented.

"Until everybody is back together as one, the club cannot move forward again."
