Erik Lamela is attempting to get over the death of his dog Simba as he continues to recover from a hip problem.
The Telegraph is reporting that the Tottenham Hotspur winger is back in Rome undergoing treatment for the injury that has kept him sidelined since October last year.
Lamela has had a tough time of it of late as he had to recently race back to Argentina to tend to his brother who was seriously injured in an accident.
He returned to England to focus on his fitness but his rehab took a hit when he was informed that his beloved pet had passed away in Rome.
The 24-year-old former AS Roma star is back in the Italian capital, with the permission of Mauricio Pochettino, to work on both his fitness and mental state.
Spurs have not specified a date of return for Lamela.
