Tottenham midfielder Dele Alli is delighted with his England U21 call.
Alli says he's looking to continue his progress on the field with Gareth Southgate's side.
"I'm delighted to get the chance to play for England Under-21s. I've been working for it for a long time so I'm glad it's finally happened," the 19-year-old told the Spurs website.
“It's another step up in terms of the international levels, but I thought I was ready for it before when I moved up a level and hopefully I'm ready for it now.
“I feel like I'm in good form, I've bedded in comfortably at Spurs and although it will be another step up to play for England's Under-21 team, I feel like I'm ready for it.
“Whenever you play for England there's a lot of responsibility on you, but that's not something that will distract me. I just want to go out, do my normal stuff and play as well as I can."
