Tottenham are willing to meet Southampton's asking price for Adam Lallana.
The Daily Express says Liverpool made a £25m bid for the England World Cup forward earlier this summer, but the Anfield club's interest in the deal has cooled with Saints wanting around £30m.
Lallana is also reluctant to move his young family - wife Emily and son Arthur who will be two in September - away from the South Coast. But a move to London would suit him.
New Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to bring Lallana with him - the pair have a close relationship - and Saints officials were stealing themselves last night for a second swoop on their club.
