Spurs will back AVB with mega bid for Porto striker Martinez

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has assured manager Andre Villas-Boas of January spending cash. The Sunday Mirror says despite a shopping spree of almost £100million in the summer, Spurs officials are willing to back Villas-Boas again to boost their hopes of a title push.

And FC Porto striker Jackson Martinez is one target AVB continues to show serious interest in.

The 27-year-old Colombian has been offered a new contract at Porto, although a host of clubs including Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Arsenal are also interested.
