Stephen Hunt is angry with Reading boss Steve Coppell over interest from Premiership clubs.

Hunt has a £5million release clause in his contract and has been linked with Tottenham, Everton and Wigan. But the Republic of Ireland international believes his manager is not telling the whole story regarding his chances of a lucrative move before the end of the transfer window on Monday.

Hunt said: "I know there has been contact by clubs. Maybe some people need to go to church on Sunday and go to confession. I know exactly what's happening and it amuses me sometimes when comments come out.

"Obviously a lot of things have been said and a lot of things have been denied. In a way I'll be glad to see the end of January."
