Tottenham Hotspur will be without a key trio for Tuesday night's Champions League match in Russia.
Spurs take on CSKA Moscow in their second Group E fixture having lost their opening match 2-1 at home to Monaco a fortnight ago.
Key midfielders Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele and starting left-back Danny Rose all missed the weekend's Premier League win over Middlesbrough and will not travel to the Russian capital for the meeting with CSKA Moscow.
Mauricio Pochettino says the trio will be rested in a bid to have them available for the weekend's top-of-the-table league clash wth Manchester City.
"Dier, Dembele and Rose are OK but we don't want to take a risk," Pochettino said.
"Dier and Danny Rose are at the same level but Mousa, we'll see.
"Why take a risk when we played one or two days ago at Boro and we have another game on Tuesday?"
Summer signing Moussa Sissoko, who came off in the second half of the Boro match, is also out of the CSKA encounter.
