Wigan Athletic still face a battle to hold onto striker Emile Heskey.

The England international has declared he won't ask away from the Latics in Janaury.

But the People says Heskey remains a Tottenham target and could leave Wigan for as little as £1m in January because he will only have six months remaining his contract.

Spurs failed in a deadline-day bid for Heskey in August but Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill remains favourite to snap up a player who played for the Ulsterman at Leicester.
