Tottenham U21 coach Chris Ramsey was delighted with victory over Chelsea in the opening round of the new Premier League season.
Spurs won 4-2 with a double from Spanish midfielder Yago Falque.
"It was an outstanding performance," Ramsey told the Spurs website.
"It was one of the best displays we've had, even including last season. I'm delighted for the players, especially the way they applied themselves and the resilience they showed after conceding the early goal.
"There were a lot of pleasing things, the more experienced players were great for us while the likes of Giancarlo, Ruben, Alex McQueen and Grant Ward have all come onto the scene this season and they are trying their best to step up and live up to the standards that were set last season.
"Well, these players have set a very high standard in the way they performed."
