Tottenham fitness coach Marco Alvarez has confirmed that new signing Gilberto is a chance to make his debut tonight against UEFA Cup opponents PSV Eindhoven.

"Yes, he has a chance because he's now at a good fitness level, he's trained hard for the last 10 days and has joined in fully with the team," Alvarez told the club's website. "We think he is now fit for Thursday."

Gilberto hasn't played since last year as the Bundesliga's winter break kicked-off on December 16. "He is a player with a lot of experience and this hasn't been a problem for him," added Alvarez.
