Tottenham are moving for Olympique Marseille striker Djibril Cisse.
The Observer says Spurs are believed to have resurrected a long-standing interest in France international Cisse, who is available from Marseille for a fee of about £6m.
Cisse has also drawn inquiries from Blackburn, Man City, Portsmouth and Bolton.
The France striker, who is married to an Englishwoman, is eager to return to this country and still owns a house in Cheshire. Liverpool have first option to buy back the striker they loaned to Marseille in 2006 and sold last summer, but Rafa Benitez would not countenance a player he deliberately moved out of the club.
