Roberto Soldado hailed the performance of Tottenham captain Michael Dawson for their win over Cardiff.

Soldado struck the only goal of the game on Sunday.

But he insisted to the Spurs website: "Daws was fundamental in the back four.

"We defended as a team magnificently and everything they threw at us we managed to bat off.

"The team played very, very well against a hard side."
