Spurs striker Defoe back to heap more pressure on Arsenal

Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe is hoping to be fit for the derby against Arsenal.

The Sun says Spurs ace Defoe has been out since injuring an ankle on February 3 at West Brom.

But he resumed training this week and could make the bench for the White Hart Lane showdown.

Defoe’s return would be a huge boost for Spurs as they bid to finish above bitter rivals Arsenal in the Premier League for the first time since 1995.

Andre Villas-Boas’ men are third after Monday’s 3-2 win at West Ham, four points above the Gunners in fifth.
