Emmanuel Adebayor has played down the significance of a scoring debut for Tottenham.
The on-loan Manchester City striker insists the three points at Wolves were the most important thing.
"It's always good to have a chance to score on your debut, especially in a tough away match like this and I'm delighted," Adebayor told the Spurs website.
"To score my first goal is always good for the confidence but I'm happier to take the three points, never mind my goal.
"It's a good win because we didn't give them any chances and you can't say 'okay, they deserved a draw'.
"I think we showed how good the team is, we played good football, showed great technical ability and hopefully will be more to come.
"It's important now to keep focused, keep going and we look forward to an important game on Thursday and then Liverpool on Sunday."
