Former Tottenham Hotspur star Jermaine Jenas feels that Spurs boast of one of the best starting XIs in the Premier League, but they lack in overall squad depth.
Spurs bowed out to Belgian minnows Gent in the Europa League after drawing the home leg 2-2 on Thursday, and Jenas feels that the game exposed a lack of depth in Mauricio Pochettino's squad.
Jenas said on BT Sport: "I think they've got one of the best starting XIs in the league, but as a squad, I don't think they can compete with the other top teams in the league and that showed tonight.
"It was a tough one for them to take because they started so well.
"They had to somehow build themselves back up after those goals."
