Spurs star Dele Alli is 'special, magnificent' - England mate Lallana

Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has described his England teammate Dele Alli as a 'special' and 'magnificent' player.

Lallana, who shared the pitch with Alli against Germany on Wednesday, also reminded that the Spurs ace is only 21-year-old and still has a long way to go in his career.

"Dele is special," he said.

"I love the way he goes about his business: no fear, he's brave. He has that cheeky arrogance about him. That what makes Dele. All players have different attitudes that make them what they are and that's why he is unique and a special talent.

"Del is a fantastic player – already a magnificent player for England. But he is not even 21 yet. It is important that we don't get carried away.

"People still need to be patient with him. He is still a young boy and performing how he does is way above his years.

"He expects to score that chance on Wednesday. But these things happen, ter Stegen is a world-class goalkeeper. As long as we win on Sunday against Lithuania, which is the most important game, then hopefully it will have been a good week.

"As long as we all learn from that game, that's all we can do."
