Tottenham have stepped back into the battle for Roma striker Tonny Sanabria.
Sanabria was due to sign for Real Betis this week, says Don Balon, but the deal has stalled in the last 24 hours after Spurs stepped in.
Betis had struck terms with Roma over an €8 million fee for Sanabria, plus 50 per cent of any sell on fee.
However, Spurs moved quickly yesterday to bid €15 million cash for the Paraguay international.
Though Sanabria would prefer a return to Spain, the former Barcelona junior faces being sold to Tottenham in the coming days.
