Spurs skipper Lloris satisfied with Leverkusen draw

Tottenham Hotspur's Hugo Lloris was delighted to come away with a point from their hard-fought clash with Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.

The North London outfit played out a 0-0 draw in Germany to keep their Champions League campaign on track with a crucial point on the road.

Leverkusen had the better of the chances throughout, forcing Lloris into a number of key saves, which prompted the Spurs captain to touch on the importance of not losing on a night where they were perhaps second best.

"At the day of the game we can be pleased with the point," he said on BT Sport.

"I think we missed good chances in the first half, and at this level if you don't score, its difficult to win games.

"In the second half they played high on the pitch and we struggled a bit. The draw is a good result for us today.

"We made the job defensively altogether, the defence was strong, the midfield also contributed to the get the point today.

"We can congratulate everyone, we suffered a lot in the second half, we stayed strong and didn't concede a goal."

Lloris came up with an unbelievable stop to deny Javier Hernandez in the second half, with the referee referring to video technology to ensure the ball had not crossed the line.

The France international added: "That's a technology decision, you need a bit of luck in that action.

"This time I could save this goal, it's important, a key moment, but it is not the only one.

"I prefer to be more positive because we made a good job defensively. We should have scored in the first half and it would have been different."
