Tottenham sports chief Damien Comolli has dispatched scouts to watch Ajax goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg today.

Spurs scouts will be at Vitesse Arnhem to watch Stekelenburg but he may be upstaged by his opponent - Vitesse keeper Piet Velthuizen, says the Mail on Sunday.

The two are regarded as the best keepers in Holland, with Stekelenburg, 26, the current No2 behind Edwin van der Sar in the national team, while 21-year-old Velthuizen is the Under-21 keeper. Spurs are regularly watching both.
