Tottenham are eyeing Portsmouth fullback Matty Taylor.

The Daily Mail says Spurs may consider making a move for Taylor after discovering Gareth Bale will be sidelined with a foot injury until March.

It is a huge blow for Spurs as Benoit Assou-Ekotto has been ruled out for the rest of the campaign leaving Lee Young-Pyo short of cover at left-back.

Paul Stalteri and fit-again Ricardo Rocha could play on the left of defence if necessary but Spurs may want an upgrade.

They have been heavily linked with Pompey star Taylor in the past and as recently in the summer and although it was believed their interest had cooled it may now be revived following the latest injury setbacks.
