Southend United youngster Jack Payne is attracting Premier League interest.

The Daily Mail says the attacking midfielder, who was released by Tottenham Hotspur as a youth, is in the final year of his contract at the League One club.

Payne gave a glimpse into what he can do when he scored during Southend's 3-1 win over Sheffield United last week with his side looking to make a late dash into the play-off places.

Premier League and Championship clubs are among those looking at Payne, who started at Southend by playing for their Under-15 side.
