Tottenham are pondering a bid for Rangers fullback Alan Hutton.
The 22-year-old defender has impressed for both club and country and was one of Scotland's stars as they nearly qualified for next summer's Euro 2008 finals.
Rangers would be reluctant to sell even if they do not advance beyond the Champions League group stages but may be tempted if the right offer comes in, especially as Manchester United and Newcastle are ready to boost his price with counter offers.
