Tottenham goalkeeper Radek Cerny says new signing Jonathan Woodgate has already improved the team's defence.
Cerny said: "I saw him play first on Wednesday and he led the defence well. He is good in the air and organises the game well.
"You saw that we did not allow Manchester to get too many chances. So I think he is a good signing for us."
Alan Hutton, after his debut against Manchester United, said: "I thought we looked solid. The defence is looking good in my eyes, so, hopefully we can go from strength to strength."
