Roman Pavlyuchenko has already won over some of his Tottenham teammates.

Spurs pair Chris Gunter and Gareth Bale got a close-up view of new £13.8million striker Pavlyuchenko on Wednesday night as Russia beat Wales 2-1.

Pavlyuchenko scored from the spot and Bale left Moscow with his shirt.

Gunter, 19, said: "I was impressed with him. He did a lot of unselfish work off the ball that you appreciated when you were playing against him."
